Chapter Five: Killing the Evil Within

The time has come for the battle I’ve been training for, the battle against the demon with a body count so absurd it’s nauseating. Watching him coldly murder someone who was so devoted to him with one fell swoop shows his true intention, to kill everyone alive, and I’m next. Staring this demon down, the soulless eyes still looking unnervingly bored and lifeless, his muscular body covered in blood and sweat, the gauntlet he’s wearing giving him the strength to conquer all. His arm is glowing red from all of the demonic energy and magic flowing through it. My sword starts to glow and flame in anticipation for the fight ahead.
He lunges forward with blazing speed, throwing a punch at me which I barely dodge. Using the power of Geomium, I raise the ground below me to pull me into the air and make cover, his stare unchanged. He lunges again at me which I use my sword to deflect, sparks flying off of the metal. His landing is impactful and cracks the ground below him.
